From the Webmasters:
We
all have memories. Memories of our childhood, good and bad, they are
what made us who we are. All of us are part of the Filipino Diaspora.
Here we are in different parts of the world, adapting and assimilating.
But always, there is an invisible umbilical cord that ties us to our old
home, our old haunts, the beaches of our childhood. Whether it be
memories of lolos and lolas long gone, moms and dads, long lost loves
and friends we left behind, always, we come back and reminisce about the
old country.
Welcome
to our forum. We are mostly Zambaleños, but surely open to all who wish
to share with us their memories and experiences. Come experience the
traditional hospitality of the Zambaleños. Come sit down with us in our
little sari sari store. Why do we call it a sari sari store? The
sari-sari store is very much a part of the Philippine cultural
landscape. Similar to the mom and pop grocery stores in the US, aside
from the local church, this is the place where most Filipinos run into
each other, exchange small talk and the latest gossip in the
neighborhood. Going to and coming home from work, they will usually pass
by the sari-sari store for some light banter, a cup of coffee or a
cigarette.
So
come on in. Dumalan kamo iti kumi. Nu anyay labay mo yo, ibalita mo yo
bungat ta iti kami pirmi ampagsilbi kumuyo.

Dear Guests:
Greetings! My thoughts could be found everywhere in this website so please
allow me to just explain "briefly" the technical aspects of our
‘Sari-sari Store’ along the dusty national road called ZambalesForum
(ZF). First, this website is the result of a collaborative effort by our discussion group members and the webmasters who say ‘walang magawa sa buhay eh…’ when asked why the
bother. The truth is, it is our ‘Love’ for our province Zambales,
our country the Philippines and the Filipino culture that brought us
group members together and drove us to write beautiful essays and short
stories , real or fictitious. To get a better grasp of what we have so
far, I suggest that you read the "A Message from John Reyes"
page, a welcoming page made just for you by the former owner- moderator
and a respected member of ZambalesForum (ZF) discussion group, John
Reyes.
The
ZambalesForum (ZF) Sari-sari Store website is non-profit. We only have
www.angelfire.com to thank for our free space in the internet. We are
not affiliated to any person , group of persons or organizations other
than our discussion group. This website is created without any
commercial goal or motivation. To the
best of your webmasters' knowledge, all graphics, text, audio files

further ado. Although our website’s content is for general public's
entertainment and consumption, our "Bahay ng Duwende" pages contain
texts, scary graphics and spooky audio files some of you may find offensive. In this case, you may want to think twice before going into that area. The pages in this website will and should be viewed on
‘as is’ basis. Updates will be done regularly so please come and
visit us more often. Please read our "Disclaimers" page to learn
